Abstract:
A weighting device for use with a racket includes at least one frame strip, at least one weight, and at least one screw. The frame strip is adapted for being mounted on an outer circumference of a racket frame and has a dovetail groove extending along a longitudinal direction thereof, and a plurality of through holes provided at a bottom wall of the dovetail groove. The weight has a threaded through hole and is slidably engaged in the dovetail groove. The screw is threadedly engaged with the threaded through hole of the weight and provided with an end stoppable against the bottom wall of the dovetail groove for holding the weight stationarily. Therefore, the weight can be firmly positioned and the balance of a racket using the weighting device can be quickly adjusted by adjusting the position of the weight.
Abstract:
A circuit used to convert DC input to AC output comprises a transformer and three series sub-circuits. The first series sub-circuit is connected in parallel with the DC input and comprises first and second capacitors connected in series. The secondary series sub-circuit is connected in parallel with the DC input and comprises a first primary winding of the transformer, a clamping capacitor and a second primary winding of the transformer sequentially connected in series. The third series sub-circuit connected in parallel with said clamping capacitor and comprises first and second switches connected in series. The center nodes of the first and third series sub-circuits are connected together. Thus, while a secondary winding of the transformer provides AC voltage, the circuit is able to effectively reduce current ripple and decrease voltage stress on semiconductor switch with minimum component count. Similar topologies may be used for rectification instead of inversion.
Abstract:
A process of making a base of a shock-absorbing front fork for a bicycle, includes the steps of winding pre-pregs around an upper section of each of two cured straight tubes to form a bridge having a foamed core therein, and placing the two straight tubes and the bridge in a mold and heating the mold for curing the bridge such that the bridge and the straight tubes are connected integrally.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device is disclosed, which comprises an upper substrate, a lower substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The lower substrate has several pixel electrodes, metal lines, and switch elements thereon. Each switch element comprises a source electrode, a drain electrode, a gate electrode, and an opening between the source electrode and the drain electrode. A passivation layer covering the surface of the source electrode and the drain electrode forms two inclined planes separately on two sides. The two inclined planes face each other and are locating on a kink or step of the source electrode and drain electrode. The inclined planes also contact each other at the upper side of the opening. The inclinations of the inclined planes to the lower substrate are in a range from 5 to 50 degrees.
Abstract:
A front fork for a bicycle includes an upright tube, a fork crown and two branch tubes. The upright tube is mounted on a bottom end of the upright tube. The branch tubes each have a top connected to the fork crown, and a rib located inside an upper section thereof. Thus, the upper sections of the branch tubes have well structural rigidity for increasing the transmission efficiency of the bicycle. The lower sections of the branch tubes have well flexibility for enhancing the rider's riding comfort.
Abstract:
A rear frame for a bicycle is disclosed to include two tubes and a connecting portion. The tubes are respectively made of fiber reinforced material and have at least one rib therein. The connecting portion is connected between the tubes. By means of the aforesaid arrangement, the rear frame has a high mechanical strength and light weight.
Abstract:
A seat tube for a bicycle includes an upright tube, a head and an inner tube all of which are made of fiber reinforced material. The upright tube has an inserting portion at a top thereof. The head has an inside chamber and a sleeve portion at a bottom thereof. The sleeve portion of the head is sleeved onto the inserting portion of the upright tube such that the inside chamber of the head is communicated with an inside of the upright tube. An outer wall of the inserting portion of the upright tube is a taper face converging upward. The inner tube is disposed at a junction of the upright tube and the head and interconnected with the upright tube and the head. Thus, the seat tube has strong structure with light weight.
Abstract:
A logic device with low electromagnetic interference. The logic device includes a digital logic gate, a voltage-limited circuit and a current-limited circuit. The digital logic gate provides a corresponding digital logic function. The voltage-limited circuit is connected to the digital logic gate in order to provide a fixed voltage to the digital logic gate to thus reduce an output voltage swing of the digital logic gate. The current-limited circuit is connected to the digital logic gate in order to provide a fixed current to the digital logic gate to thus reduce a transient current of the digital logic gate. Accordingly, an electromagnetic interface (EMI) caused by switching of the digital logic gate is reduced with the reduced output voltage swing and transient current.
Abstract:
A billiard cue has a main body formed of one or more segments which are connected end to end. At least one segment consists of an outer casing which is made of a fiber-reinforced plastic material and is covered with a wooden sheath and a protective layer. The billiard cue is not prone to deformation and is provided with appearance of a wood texture.
