According to another aspect, a model (110) representing at least a portion of a proposed system associated with a wellhead is generated, the model comprising a plurality of objects (110a, 110b and 110c), each of which has a proposed location and represents an existing component (26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 or 48).

Abstract: A seal assembly is disposed in an annular recess in a cylinder chamber between a pump cavity and a pump exterior. The seal assembly includes a main seal and a back-up seal and seals to a pump plunger disposed within the cylinder chamber. The back-up seal includes an extrusion recess extending from a surface of the back-up seal adjacent the main seal along an inner or an outer diameter of the back-up seal. During pumping operations the plunger strokes through the cylinder chamber causing the main seal to extrude into the extrusion recess to form a seal between the plunger and the cylinder chamber.

Abstract: A quick-connector assembly for joining abutting flanged ends of two tubular members includes first and second connector portions joined by a rotatable hinge having a hinge pin coupling the first connector portion and the second connector portion so that the first and second connector portions encircle about abutting flanged ends of the tubular members when the first and second connector portions are in a closed position. Further, a stand having a bracket with at least one hole for accommodating the hinge pin is designed to at least partially support the weight of the connector assembly and the flanged ends of the tubular members.

Abstract: A plunger assembly for reciprocating within a fluid bore in a fluid end of a hydraulic frac pump includes an elongated plunger body having first and second ends, a first annular portion having an outer diameter proximate the first end and substantially equal to the overall outer diameter of the plunger assembly, and a second annular portion having an outer diameter less than the overall outer diameter of the plunger assembly. The second annular portion has a circumferential thread defined thereon proximate the second end. The plunger assembly further includes a seal packing disposed about the second portion of the plunger body, and a tubular packing nut disposed circumferentially about the second annular portion of the plunger body and having a threaded interface configured to engage the circumferential thread proximate the second end of the plunger body. The annular packing nut is configured to rotate about the circumferential thread to advance toward and adjust an overall linear dimension of the seal packing.

Abstract: A universal monitoring system applicable to a variety of hydraulic fracturing equipment includes an accelerometer mounted on a housing of a positive displacement pump and configured to sense a vibration associated with the positive displacement pump on start-up and generate a wake-up signal. A processor is communicatively coupled to the accelerometer and configured to initiate execution upon receiving the wake-up signal. A pressure strain gauge is mounted directly on the pump housing and is configured to sense deformity in the pump housing caused by alternating high and low pressures within the pump housing and generate sensor data. The processor is configured to receive the sensor data from the pressure strain gauge and configured to analyze the sensor data and determine a cycle count value for the positive displacement pump, and there is at least one communication interface coupled to the processor configured to transmit the sensor data and cycle count value to another device.
