Abstract:
The proposal is for a process and circuit for controlling fans fitted, for example, in power supplies to cool the components therein, which provide control operations on the basis of control pulses (Ust) derived from the fan input current by transforming the control pulses (Ust) into monostable pulses (Um) and taking them via an asymmetrical resistance circuit (R4, R2) to charge and discharge a storage component (Cg), the charge state of which is a quantity for the control of the van (V).
Abstract:
The controller in an electrographic printer or copier prepared image data for reproduction on a substrate (26). It collects the image data received from the HOST into mutually independently processable working bunches (30) by dividing them in a first step into control and image data. The control data are made available to individual scanning modules. The scanning modules (RM) scan a page to be printed mutually independently. By means of virtual addressing, the scanning modules (RM) access a shared resource store (6) containing the image data.
Abstract:
A process for connecting two bus segments capable of arbitration by two couplers connected by a data transmission path in which one of the two couplers is entitled to arbitrate. Attempts to access the bus on the bus segment the coupler of which is not entitled to arbitrate are interrupted at the start of the arbitration phase.
Abstract:
In order to arrange two tractor drives for two recording medium webs close to each other in the area of the transfer printing station of an electrographic printing device, the transport pins (32) are secured on the outer surface of transport belts (26). Paper guiding elements (35) arranged in the area of the belt driving wheels (27) lift the recording media (10) in the tapering head part (34) of the transport pins (32), so that the marginal perforations (31) are not deformed.
Abstract:
The bit configuration can be stored in a storage matrix of a grid module (RM) and read out to a reproduction device (WG). Each matrix cell (MZ) has a data output (DOUT). The data outputs (DOUT) of the matrix cells (MZ) are coupled to the reproduction device (WG) via peripheral selectors (RCMUX). Each matrix cell (MZ) contains a number of storage cells (SZ) for bit data. There is an internal selector (ZMUX) to select a storage cell (SZ) within a matrix cell (MZ). A read-out control device is coupled to the selectors (ZMUX, RCMUX) and modulates the bit configuration depending on its desired direction of rotation.
Abstract:
The printing substrate (4) is conveyed by friction in the fixing station between two rollers (1, 2). The printing substrate (4) is braked in front of the rollers (1, 2) by a braking device (3) to tension it. A length equalising unit (5) evens out any length differences in the printing substrate (4). The revolution speed of the rollers (1, 2) is controlled dependently upon the deflection of the length equalising unit (5). The deflection time (txy) between the arrival at a deflection point a and a deflection point b is detected and compared with a reference time (tref). The braking force of the braking device (3) is reduced if the reference deflection time (tref) is exceeded.
Abstract:
A print drum (10) comprises printing elements (30) which are in the form of depressions in the surface of the print drum (10). The printing elements (30) are arranged along matrix lines. A print drum (10) comprises more than one matrix line (33) of printing elements (30). Each printing element (30) comprises a heating arrangement (31) which can be activated selectively and which can heat ink (13) present in the printing element (30) in such a way that a gas bubble produced during heating forces it out of the printing element (30) in the direction of a print carrier (14). The printing elements (30) are filled with ink (13) in an inking station (11).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a PC-based electronic control unit with a mother circuit board and an additional circuit board, the connectors on the two boards being accessible through apertures disposed in parallel rows in the casing wall. Located between these rows is an additional row of apertures for connectors which may be mounted either on the mother board or on the additional board, or on so-called piggy-pack (auxiliary) boards which can be connected to one or both of them.

Back-up of mains power failures for any length of time in personal computers by auxiliary batteries. Use of power management and securing the machine status on a fixed disc.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a ribbon guide section for electronic printers, especially stylus printers, which contains the ribbon guide for the printer. So far, the ribbon (3) was pushed into the basic position over a bevel on the printing head (5) when the ribbon guide was fitted. This can lead to movement of the ribbon resulting in creasing or folding. To prevent this drawback, the invention provides for a ribbon deflector consisting of a rotatably spring-loaded component with two symmetrically arranged slides (2) over which the ribbon (3) runs in such a way that it is spread by the nose (4) of the printing head before being pushed on the printing head support (13). The rotatable, spring-loaded component is tilted backwards on being pushed on the printing head support and thus the slides (2) is set to its inoperative position so that the ribbon (3) bears directly on the nose (4) of the printing head.
