    Abstract: A holder for tool transport and method for transporting tools is provided. The holder includes a compartmentalized top section with an optional handle. A securable cover may be included to protect tool during transport. The base of the holder includes both a contiguous edge that provides suitable support during placement on a flat surface and a curved cavity that provides suitable support during placement on a component of mobile machinery to be serviced. The component can be a wheel and the cavity can be configured to allow for placement on substantially all wheel types and size.

    Abstract: A scrubbing/degassing apparatus comprises a degassing column for removing extraneous gaseous matter from water; and a flow control arrangement for controlling a flow of water to the degassing column. The flow control arrangement comprises an upper reservoir mounted above the degassing column for receiving a supply of water, a controllable valve responsive to predetermined control signals for regulating the flow of water to the upper reservoir, a level sensor operatively coupled with the upper reservoir and responsive to the level of water therein for producing said predetermined control signals in a predetermined systematic fashion in accordance with this level, and structure defining an adjustable orifice of selectively variable size intermediate the upper reservoir and the column for delivering water from the upper reservoir to the column; the rate of flow of water from the upper reservoir to the column being controlled by the level of water in the upper reservoir set by the level sensor together with the selected size of the adjustable orifice.

A plug for insertion into a pipeline 11 to provide a seal, comprises flexible sealing rings 17, 20 supported by annular members 15, 21, the member 21 making a fluid-tight, slidable contact with the member 15 and the annulus of one or both members being sealed against the passage of gas therethrough, mechanical means for expanding the sealing rings when the distance between the rings is reduced by sliding the members towards one another, and means for permitting the entry of fluid into the space 29 between the rings whereby when the plug has been inserted into a pipeline and the rims of the rings expanded to make contact with the wall of the pipeline, the space between the rings is filled with an hydraulic fluid at a pressure above that prevailing in the pipeline so that access of material from the pipeline into the space between the rings is opposed by the pressure gradient. As shown, the sealing rings 17, 20 are clamped between end pieces and back plates 110, 111 and 114, 115 respectively, the plate 115 engaging a cylindrical base-plate 113 via an 0-ring seal 25, and an annular wedge member 26 provided with apertures 29 is disposed between the sealing rings. By screwing up a nut 108 on a spindle 106 the sealing rings are slid towards one another and hydraulic fluid is fed through the spindle to the cross-pipe 102 and thence to the space 30. The annulus of the member 21 is sealed off by a dome 105; the annulus of the member 15 may be sealed off by a disc in which case the dome may be replaced by an openwork structure.
