Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for dynamic packet reordering. In an aspect, a method is provided for processing slot data on-the-fly to produce decodable packets, wherein the slot data includes interleaved modulation symbols. The method includes de-interleaving a stream of the interleaved modulation symbols to produce a stream of modulation symbols, calculating parallel streams of LLR metrics based on the stream of modulation symbols, and mapping the parallel streams of LLR metrics to produce a stream of decodable packets. In another aspect, an apparatus is provided the includes de-interleaving logic to de-interleave a stream of interleaved modulation symbols to produce a stream of modulation symbols, metric processing logic configured to produce parallel streams of LLR metrics based on the stream of modulation symbols, and mapping logic configured to map the parallel streams of LLR metrics to produce a stream of decodable packets.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate monitoring transmitter performance in a wireless communication environment. If the received modulation symbols are unknown during transmitter monitoring, it may be necessary to determine the modulation symbols for each subcarrier. The modulation types can be evaluated over a subset of subcarriers having a consistent modulation type, to reduce the possibility of an erroneous modulation type determination to an extremely low level. A metric can be generated for each modulation type that indicates the likelihood of a particular modulation type for the subset of subcarriers. The modulation type can be selected based upon the metric and modulation symbols consistent with the modulation type can be used for the subset of subcarriers.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate monitoring transmitter performance in a wireless communication environment. A signal analyzer can be used to sample the output of a transmitter and the sampled signal can be propagated to a processor. The processor can generate frequency domain channel estimates for the subcarriers. If the transmitted modulation symbols are unknown, the processor can determine the modulation symbols and use the determined modulation symbols to calculate the channel estimates. The channel estimates can be averaged and used to generate various metrics to evaluate the transmitter performance.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for generating bit log likelihood ratio (LLR) values for two-layered Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying (QPSK) turbo decoding in a wireless communications user terminal (UT). The method includes receiving a two-layered QPSK signal with an energy ratio that is unknown, but typically defined as either k 1 2 or k 2 2 . The method selects a mismatched energy ratio ( k 2 ) between k 1 2 and k 2 2 , and generating bit LLR values for two-layered QPSK turbo decoding, using the mismatched k 2 energy ratio. For example, if the received two-layered QPSK signal is known to have an energy ratio of about 4 or about 6.25. Then, k 2 is selected to be about 5.0625. Alternately stated, the mismatched k 2 energy ratio in selected by determining the approximate midpoint between k 1 2 and k 2 2 .
Abstract:
Provided are compositions and methods for protecting a compound comprising a haloalkylamide moiety from metabolic transformation by hydrolases. In one aspect, the disclosure is directed to increasing the bioavailability and tissue delivery of a anti-HCV compound comprising a haloalkylamide moiety by protecting the compound from inactivation by carboxylesterases. Specific approaches for limiting metabolic transformation include use of carboxylesterase inhibitors to inhibit metabolism of the compound, or use of orally administered compositions designed to deliver the compound to the small intestine or large intestine. Further provided are methods of treating or preventing HCV infection in a subject.
Abstract:
Elastomeric polymer blends and processes for their production are described. Specifically, the polymer blends comprise a first polymer and a second polymer, where the first polymer comprises from 70 wt% to 90 wt% units derived from propylene and from 10 wt% to 30 wt% units derived from ethylene and/or a C4-C10 alpha-olefin, and the second polymer comprises from 88 wt% to 98 wt% units derived from propylene and from 2 wt% to 12 wt% units derived from ethylene and/or a C4-C 10 alpha-olefin. The elastomeric polymer blends are further characterized by having two or more of the following properties: an overall propylene content of between 75 wt% and 90 wt%, a melting point between 110°C and 145°C, a Vicat softening point greater than 45°C, a tensile stress at 300% strain of less than 500 psi (3447 kPa), as determined by a stress strain test according to ASTM D412, or an average maximum force for pellet separation of less than 10 N in an accelerated storage stability test. The polymer blends are produced in a dual reactor process, in which the first polymer and the second polymer are prepared using differing catalyst systems.
Abstract:
Disclosed are rheology modifiers comprising compositionally disperse polymeric compositions and/or crystallinity disperse polymeric compositions that may be useful in modifying the rheological properties of lubrication fluids, and methods for making such compositions. The compositionally disperse polymeric composition are formed from at least two discrete compositions of ethylene copolymers. The crystallinity disperse polymeric composition are formed from ethylene copolymers having at least two discrete values of residual crystallinity.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for processing a signal in wireless communications. The signal may have synchronization information. A method of processing a signal having synchronization information may include receiving the signal, and determining a truncation region of the time domain estimated channel, the estimated channel having taps. The method further includes processing the channel taps within the truncation region.
Abstract:
A turbo-coded data block is processed for transmission on a wireless communication link by scheduling a plurality of portions of the block for transmission during respectively corresponding transmit intervals that are temporally separated from one another. The block portions are transmitted during the respectively corresponding transmit intervals according to the scheduling.
