Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling multi-mode radio access, more particularly, to a method and apparatus that supports multi-mode reconfigurable, quality of service (QoS) and seamless handoff in different radio systems so as to provide wire-line like QoS guarantee. The apparatus includes a network layer, a radio adaptation layer, a radio system layer and a physical layer. Therein, the radio adaptation layer is used to control the radio modules disposed in the radio system layer to support the QoS needed in the upper layer. The radio adaptation layer is also used to build up, correct and seamlessly change the radio link, and ensures that the packets from the upper layers can be orderly delivered to the lower layer with preset QoS.
Abstract:
A method of handling buffer status report for a mobile device capable of UL MIMO and/or capable of receiving and/or transmitting on a plurality of component carriers in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises generating at least a buffer size table each including a plurality of indexes according to the maximum uplink data transmission rate, wherein some of the plurality of indexes each is used for indicating a data amount in an uplink buffer of the mobile device for the buffer status report.
Abstract:
A method for providing service among a plurality of Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Networks (MBSFNs) that are providing multimedia broadcast services, includes storing a pointer in data to be transmitted by a base station corresponding to a serving of a first MBSFN. The pointer points to either a location of a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) control channel or a location of MBMS data in a second MBSFN.
Abstract:
A method for a base station to provide multicast broadcast services (MBSs). The method includes: obtaining an MBS authorization key (MAK); generating a number as an MBS group traffic encryption key (MGTEK); using a service credit number (SCN) to count an amount of service time or MBS content data; generating an MBS traffic key (MTK) based on at least the MAK and the MGTEK; encrypting MBS content data with the MTK; and transmitting the encrypted MBS content data to provide the MBSs.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for reception of point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmissions in a wireless communication system including a set of receiving devices. The method includes receiving location information respectively associated with each of a plurality of PTM data versions, and retrieving the plurality of PTM data versions using the location information. The method also includes combining the retrieved plurality of PTM data versions to generate a combined PTM data version, and decoding the combined PTM data version.
Abstract:
A method for generating and identifying an identifier and a communication system are provided. In the method, a subclass of a port in a packet is retrieved. In addition, the subclass of the port serves as a part of the identifier. A first device transmits the packet to a second device according to the identifier.
Abstract:
A method of handling component carrier activation and deactivation for a mobile device capable of receiving and transmitting on a plurality of component carriers in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes starting a deactivation timer for a component carrier of the plurality of component carriers when the component carrier is activated, wherein the deactivation timer provides a period of time for component carrier activation, performing a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process on the component carrier, and extending activation time of the component carrier when a retransmission of the HARQ process is not finished before deactivation of the component carrier.

Abstract:
A method and system for network data transmitting in a communication system includes transmitting a data from at least one transmission node to at least one receiving node of a transmission-receiving group among the plurality of communication nodes by utilizing a node ID, the node ID of communication node in the group is being assigned by a N-carry operation of a determined number N.
