Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device used for a system for the real-time tracking of packages. SOLUTION: This system for the real-time tracking of packages includes the portable data acquisition device capable of collecting and storing package data, a docking device in which a data storage device and a docking device communication radio are included, and a main frame data repository capable of receiving collected and stored package data from the docking device. The data acquisition device includes a display screen capable of receiving data inputted by using a stylus, and representing the data in alternate orientations such that the data are viewable from multiple perspectives and fixed locations around the data acquisition device. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing computer system for use in evaluating individuals prior to entering secure environment. SOLUTION: This processing computer system comprises a database for receiving and storing data records associated with a plurality of individuals trying to approach secure environment, and including information related to the plurality of individuals; an interface adapted to specify retrieval criteria usable by a user to identify individuals who meet the retrieval criteria; and a processor adapted to retrieve data records to identify a set of retrieval results having each individual who meets the retrieval criteria out of the plurality of individuals. The interface is adapted to display a set of retrieval results to the user before the plurality of individuals reach the secure environment, and to enable the user to select one or more specific individuals identified for further investigation in the retrieval results. SOLUTION: A package retrieving system is a system for a carrier, and includes a database for the carrier for storing package information relating to one or more packages during transportation, a visually recognition engine for searching the package information, and identifying the incoming package to a position identifier relating to the user, and a computer for a user for receiving shipment information relating to the incoming package. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for delivering commodities to a desired place. SOLUTION: The data acquisition device comprises a GPS sensor so formed as to detect GPS positions in a place and including the latitude and longitude of the place and a processor so formed as to receive place data on addresses. The place data has the latitude and longitude related to the addresses.
