Abstract:
Systems and methods for handling an incoming telephone call received at a private branch exchange system and directed to an employee enable an actual or virtual receptionist to camp the call on the employee's extension. When the call is camped on the employee's extension, the private branch exchange system causes a push notification to be sent to a telephony device used by the employee to notify the employee that a call is camped on his extension. Such a push notification may also inform the employee about how many calls are camped on his extension. Further, such a push notification may provide the employee with information about the identity of a calling party whose call is camped on the employee's extension.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing call verification to prevent voice phishing, comprising: receiving a call request from a service provider to establish a call with a client device associated with the client of the service provider; verifying the identity of the service provider; transmitting a notification to the client device that includes an indication that an incoming call is from a verified service provider; receiving verification information about the client; verifying the identity of the client; and establishing the call between the service provider and the client after both the identity of the service provider and the identity of the client are verified.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for facilitating a communication session receive a sound signal and determine at least one contributing source to the received sound signal from among a plurality of communication endpoints, wherein each respective communication endpoint of the plurality of communication endpoints is associated with a corresponding participant in the communication session and includes a microphone and loudspeaker. Based on a determination of multiple communication endpoints being co-located, one or more embodiments perform at least one of processing the received sound signal by selectively altering the received sound signal, or initiating an instruction to inhibit further contribution, to the sound signal, from at least one of the co-located multiple communication endpoints.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for contextually based fulfillment of communication requests are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for contextually based fulfillment of a communication request via a telephony platform, comprises receiving via a telephony-based communication, at a fulfillment center, a user request for a service; determining a service provider capable of fulfilling the user request; translating the user request into one or more user intents; creating a contextual framework based on the user intent; requesting additional information regarding details of the user intent based on the contextual framework; and fulfilling the user request using the user intents when the contextual framework is complete.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for providing an informative message when rejecting an incoming call are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for providing an informative message when rejecting an incoming call comprises receiving a request to reject an incoming call with a message; generating a plurality of messages based on status information; receiving a selection of one of the plurality of generated messages; and setting a reminder to notify the user of a callback, wherein the reminder is based on the selected message.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for setting up a telephony communication include an operating system of a user telephony device diverting a call setup request made via a native dialer of the user telephony device to a telephony software application on the user telephony device. The telephony software application then sets up the requested telephony communication using a telephony communication application programming interface (API).
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing a translation-enabled multiparty communication session utilize a translation service that is configured to receive individual audio streams from each participant in the communication session, and which then generates a participant text stream for each participant based on their audio stream. This can be accomplished using speech- to-text techniques. Each participant's text stream is then translated into a different language to create a translated participant text stream. Individual participants in the communication session can then subscribe to the translated participant text streams to view a translation of what each participant is saying during the communication session.
Abstract:
Methods and system for integrating video content in a video conference session are provided herein. In some embodiments, the system comprises a plurality of user devices corresponding to a presenter attendee and a plurality of non-presenter attendees of the video conference, where each of the plurality of user devices comprising: a video conferencing application, comprising: a first interface for receiving connection information to the video content as selected by the presenter attendee; a second interface for embedding and displaying the video content on each of the plurality of user devices, wherein the video content is streamed directly from the content provider to each of the plurality of user devices; and a video conference server for relaying state changes of the content video content as the video content is streamed to the plurality of non-presenter user devices.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing one-to-one and audio and video calls or for providing multi-party audio or video conferences also provide language translation services. When language translation services are provided, a party to a call or conference hears both the audio of the speaker, and a translated version of the speaker's audio.
