Abstract: The present invention relates a control system and method for drying organic waste, and provides the control system comprising: a stirring motor rotating a stirring body stirring livestock excretions inside a main body heated by a burner; a load cell detecting the weight of the main body; and a control panel calculating water content in the livestock excretions injected into the main body using the measured weights of the main body and the injected livestock excretions, and then outputting a signal as an informing means for informing an operator of the water content below a predetermined water content. When manufacturing alternative fuel or fertilizer using the organic waste such as the livestock excretions, the present invention minimizes power consumption for drying the livestock excretions using pellet (solid fuel), which is manufactured by drying the livestock excretions, as a heat source, and precisely drying the livestock excretions in order to allow the livestock excretions to have a desired water content by controlling the operation of a dryer to dry the livestock excretions according to measuring the variation of the water content in real time by converting the weight variation of the livestock excretions housed inside the main body into the water content. The present invention can measure the variation in real-time by converting the weight change of the excretion of animals, accommodated in the main body, into water content, and precisely dry the excretion of animals until it has the wanted water content according to the measurement by controlling the operation of the drying apparatus. Hence, a high quality fertilizer or pellet can be manufactured with the dried excretion of animals by using the drying apparatus.
