Abstract: PURPOSE: A gel composition is provided to simply maintain and consume decent property for long term, and to include considerable amount of minerals as well. CONSTITUTION: A gel composition comprises 0.1 to 20 weight% of minerals and 0.1 to 10 weight% of polysaccharide based on the total weight of the gel composition. The minerals comprise calcium. The calcium comprises at least one calcium composite selected from calcium citrate, calcium gluconate, calcium glycerophosphate, calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide, calcium chloride, calcium lactate, tribasic calcium phosphate, dibasic calcium phosphate, monobasic calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, and calcium sulfate. The calcium comprises at least one natural calcium selected from seaweed calcium, cow bone calcium, fish bone calcium, eggshell calcium, shell calcium, calcium lactate, fermentation-produced organic acidic calcium, coral calcium, sea urchin shell powder, shark cartilage powder, and squid cartilage powder. The polysaccharide comprises at least one material selected from agar, alginates, kappa-carrageenan, iota-carrageenan, furcellaran, guar gum, gum Arabic, gum tracanth, karaya gum, pectin, locust bean gum, dextrin, gellan gum, rhamsan gum, welan gum, xanthan gum, microfibrous cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, propylene glycol alginate, hydroxypropyl guar, modified starch, gelatin, curdlan, psyllium seed gum, and tarmarind gum.
