Abstract: A lip cosmetic composition containing Lithospermum erythrorhizon natural pigment component is provided to enhance the development of pigment extract by extracting pigment with supercritical fluid extraction, and to maintain the color even in the exposure to sunlight. A lip cosmetic composition comprises (a) 0.1~10 weight% of Lithospermum erythrorhizon roots natural pigment; (b) 40~90 weight% of ester-based oil, hydrocarbon-based oil or their mixture; (c) 1~15 weight% of wax; (d) 1~15 weight% of powder; and (e) 1~30 weight% of polymer. The Lithospermum erythrorhizon roots natural pigment is extracted with supercritical fluid extraction at 40-80°C under 300-500 bar by using carbon dioxide as the supercritical fluid.
