Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the elution of any impurities, such as metal ion from voids or the development of rust, even in the case the fine voids, such as cast defect, exist on the surface of a casting part.
SOLUTION: The fine voids 2 having the surface of the casting part 1 is sealed with an impregnant 3 by applying an impregnating treatment on this surface and thereafter, a clean surface treatment is applied. In this way, the clean surface treatment, such as an electrolytic grinding, a chemical grinding or a passivating treatment, can efficiently be applied, and thus, the elution of the impurities, such as metal ion or the development of rust, from the voids can be prevented.
