    Abstract: A charcoal manufacturing system for reducing harmful exhaust gases by using a pyroligneous liquor spray method is provided to remarkably reduce the amount of harmful exhaust gases released into the atmosphere by spraying a pyroligneous liquor into the combustion gas, thereby eliminating harmful components contained in the combustion gas. A charcoal manufacturing system comprises a carbonization furnace(1), a duct assembly(5), a pyroligneous liquor recovery tank(4), a pyroligneous liquor spray(10), a pump(7), and an exhaust duct(13). The carbonization furnace has wood loaded therein to manufacture charcoal by carbonizing the wood. The duct assembly induces exhaustion of the combustion gas generated in the carbonization of the wood to the atmosphere. The pyroligneous liquor recovery tank recovers a pyroligneous liquor through branch pipes(30b) branched off from one side of the duct assembly. The pyroligneous liquor is produced by condensing the combustion gas passing through the duct assembly.
