    Abstract: PURPOSE: An optimized code column length selecting method at a variable length pseudo random code generator is provided to variously select a code sequence length having optimized auto-correlation properties. CONSTITUTION: A pseudo random code generator inputs the range of a wanted code sequence length (S0). The pseudo random code generator selects a Legendre sequence code sequence length in the inputted range (S1). The pseudo random code generator determines the code width of a pseudo random code (S3).
