Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiple input multiple output receiver, and a signal detecting method thereof. According to the present invention, the multiple input multiple output receiver comprises: a tree generation part allocating candidate symbols of a transmission signal on branches branching off at a node corresponding to each level based on a received signal, and a channel matrix and mapping the branches to a node with a lower level and configuring a tree to correspond to a path connected from the highest level to the lowest level with candidate vectors of the transmission signal; a part to determine the number of nodes which determines the number of children nodes which can be visited per one parent node by each level in the tree corresponding to the level of the tree; and a tree detecting part detecting nodes from the highest level to the lowest level of the tree within a set spherical radius in accordance to the number of children nodes determined by the part to determine the number of nodes, and extracting a candidate vector with a minimum path distance among the candidate vectors of the transmission signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method of detecting a sync pattern. Abstract: PURPOSE: A direction detecting device is provided to improve a direction-detection accuracy by adding a weight to a portion where the accuracy is excellent. CONSTITUTION: A direction detecting device comprises a calculation block(610) which converts video signals of odd and even channels to measure maximum values of odd and even channels. A selector calculating part(620) receives the maximum values from the calculation block(610) to calculate a sector value.
