Abstract: The method prevents stress damage or micro-bending of an optical fiber cable by minimizing compressive or bending stresses on the optical fiber in sequentially removing the jacket of the fiber, removing coating layer, and cutting the optical fiber cable. The apparatus comprises optical fiber feeding device (10) for passing optical fiber (1) through hole (11) and clamping the fiber by fixture jig (44); stripper (30) for inserting cutting edge (32b) of jacket stripping device (32) to the jacket layer (1c) and stripping the jacket (1c); jacket removing device (20) for removing the jacket layer, exposing the coating layer (1b); cable cutting device (50) for making a scar on the cable (1a) by cutting jig (57) and cutting the cable (1a) by bending jig (55).
