Abstract: PURPOSE: A microorganism Verticillium lecanii CS625 and a method for the control of aphids using the same are provided. The microorganism has improved growth rate in protected cultivation and effectively controls aphids in crops being grown by the protected cultivation. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism Verticillium lecanii CS625(KACC 93002) is provided. A composition for the control of aphids comprises the spore suspension produced from Verticillium lecanii CS625(KACC 93002) as an effective component, wherein the spore suspension comprises conidium or blastopore produced from Verticillium lecanii CS625(KACC 93002); and the spore suspension contains 10(6) to 10(10) cfu/ml of spores. A method for the control of aphids comprises spraying the aphid controlling composition to crops.
