Abstract:
A method of manufacturing silver nanoparticles for ruminant livestock is provided to obtain encapsulated silver nanoparticles which are absorbed by the lower digestive system of the ruminant livestock without decomposition in the rumen and improve the freshness of milk when fed to livestock. Colloidal silver nanoparticles are immobilized to a carrier. The immobilized silver nanoparticles and specific nutrients are mixed with a binding/coating agent, extruded and encapsulated in a first step. The encapsulated silver nanoparticles and specific nutrients are encapsulated with one or two or more components selected from the group consisting of extremely hydrogenated fat and fatty acid with a melting point of more than 40deg.C in a second step. The colloidal silver nanoparticles contain silver nanoparticles of sizes of 1 to 15nm and one or more polymeric stabilizers selected from the group consisting of polyvinylpyrrolidone, (1-vinylpyrrolidone)-acrylic acid copolymer, polyoxyethylene stearate and (1-vinylpyrrolidone)-acrylic acid copolymer. The carrier is husk powder, corn flour, silica, cellulose, starch, zeolite and calcium carbonate. The binding/coating agent is selected from the group consisting of a monovalent soap, divalent soap, extremely hydrogenated fat and fatty acid with a melting point of more than 40deg.C(hydrogenated vegetable oil, hydrogenated corn oil, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, hydrogenated peanut oil, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, hydrogenated palm oil, hydrogenated palm stearin oil, hydrogenated sunflower oil, palmitic acid and stearic acid).

A composition for disinfecting teat of an animal comprising silver nanoparticle colloidal solution and a method for disinfecting teat of the animal by using the same composition are provided to improve efficiency of microorganism removal by uniformly applying the silver nanoparticles to the animal teat, and reduce the production costs and improve safety by using an inexpensive and safe polymer stabilizer. The composition for disinfecting teat of the animal comprises a solution containing colloid of silver nanoparticles having diameter of 1-15 nm and 0.5-5 wt.% of a polymer stabilizer, wherein the amount of silver nanoparticle is 5-30 ppm, based on the total weight of the composition and the composition further comprises 0.001-1 wt.% of edible pigment such as Gardenia jasminoides pigment. The silver nanoparticle colloidal solution is prepared by dissolving silver salt or silver oxide salt, and at least one polymer stabilizer selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, (1-vinyl pyrrolidone)-acrylic acid copolymer, polyoxyethylene stearate and (1-vinylpyrrolidone)-vinyl acetate copolymer in water or non-aqueous solvent, nitrogen-purging the solution, and irradiating gamma-rays to the solution. The silver salt is AgNO3, AgClO4, Ag2SO4 or CH3COOAg, the non-aqueous solvent is ethylene glycol, ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, and the animal is cow, pig, goat, dog or ship. The teat of the animal is disinfected by contacting the composition with the teat of the animal through spraying, coating or dipping.

CONSTITUTION: A milk substitute composition of breast milk level for sucking calf comprises whey powder 19 ~ 25 weight%, protein concentrate 18 ~ 24 weight%, fat powder 30 ~ 36 weight%, lactose 7 ~ 13 weight% and the balance of water. The milk substitute composition further includes skimmed milk powder 3 ~ 5 weight%. CONSTITUTION: A processing apparatus for dead birds comprises: a dead birds processing drum: a drum cover(2) installed on the outer part of the dead birds processing drum; a heating unit installed on the drum cover; a pressure controller(4) which measures a pressure of the dead birds processing drum and controls an operation of heating according to the measured pressure; a pressure control valve(5) installed on one side of the drum cover; a timer part(6) counting an operation time of heating; a controller(7) controlling the operation time of heating; and a cart for dead birds in which a roller is installed on the lower part to be transferred to the inner part of the dead birds processing drum according to a guide rail(14) installed at the dead birds processing drum.
