Abstract: PURPOSE: A sludge dryer is provided, which is characterized in that sludge is dried by hot air through hot air generator(28). Thereby, sludge does not burn, and smoke does not occur. CONSTITUTION: When hot air generated by a hot air generator(28) flows into upper part of a tank(10) through a hot air pipe(28), temperature of hot air is 250°C. Hot air flows from upper part of the tank(10) to lower part of the tank(10) through holes(16)(26) of a rotating disk(15) and a fixed disk(25), and gaps(17). Thereby, sludge is dried. Water vapor occurred during drying goes to cyclone through an outlet(33), and goes to a cleaner(35). So, dust in sludge is removed, and pure water vapor is discharged. Supplementary hot air generator(30) is installed at lower part of tank(10), and blows hot air of 90°C into the tank(10). A water collecting tank(31) collects condensated water droplet.
