    Abstract: A compressor and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to reliably prevent a leakage of a refrigerant through a connecting part between a hermetic container and a pipe at low cost and to prevent strength of the hermetic container from lowering. A compressor(10) includes a hermetic container(12) connected with a refrigerant pipe(94) and rotary compressing elements(32,34) contained in the hermetic container for discharging a refrigerant into the hermetic container. The refrigerant pipe has a cylindrical pipe main body and a jaw type flange part formed in a tip of the pipe main body. A connecting sleeve(73) is arranged between the refrigerant pipe. A first bolt is arranged to connect the connecting sleeve with the hermetic container. A second bolt(78) is arranged to connect the connecting sleeve with the flange part of the refrigerant pipe. The flange part of the refrigerant pipe conceals the first bolt.
