Abstract: An input device and a portable terminal equipped with the input device are provided to comprise a movement sensing unit which detects the movement of a center key and sends a corresponding input signal to the terminal, thereby reducing a size as enabling an easy inputting action. A center key(11) is exposed to the outside through an opening unit(21). An elastic member(33) supports the center key by being fixed to a case(19), and allows the center key to return to the center by elastic power if the center key is separated from the center of the opening unit. A movement sensing unit detects the movement of the center key, and transmits an input signal corresponding to the movement to a terminal. The center key consists of a body unit(13) combined with the elastic member and a head unit(15) formed on one side of the body unit.
