Provided is a tracking method and an apparatus for a communication system to prevent a timing difference and a bit error rate performance degradation caused by unstable characteristics of a plurality of circuit devices. The tracking method and apparatus includes sampling signals received at receiving a plurality of antennas; tracking sample values resulting from the sampling of the signals; and combining the tracked sample values.

Provided are an apparatus and a method which calculate a plurality of detection parameters used to determine a threshold for detecting a transmission symbol based on probability distribution parameters of defining a statistical probability distribution of input signals and adaptively set the threshold for detecting the transmission symbol in order to adaptively detect a current transmission symbol by using a previously detected transmission symbol and the plurality of detection parameters.

PURPOSE: A low power low playback receiver and a method thereof are provided to improve a low selectivity performance by maintaining the frequency bandwidth of the channel. CONSTITUTION: A bandwidth control unit(410) controls a quench waveform based on the bandwidth of a transmission signal. The bandwidth control unit controls absolute values of a slope at a zero-crossing point of the quench waveform. The bandwidth control unit dynamically controls the bandwidth of a reception signal. A quench waveform generation unit(420) generates a plurality of the quench wave forms according to the number of oversampling.
