PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for editing data through the Internet is provided to automatically update a content page, an index page, and a section page. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs the contents to be edited through Internet according to a data type(10). The inputted contents are generated and displayed as a content page(12). The contents generated as the content page are classified by items, and an index page to execute searching for each item is generated and displayed(14). As the contents classified by items are classified by similar items again in accordance with a required basis, a section page is generated and displayed so that the user or other user can see(16).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A real-time caption system based on a script and a script processing method are provided to make a caption data which can be performed without regard to a kind of an output device by using SCHL(synchronized caption handling language) having a format similar to HTML. CONSTITUTION: A real-time caption system based on a script includes a server(100), a terminal(200), and a communication network(300). The server(100) generates a caption data as a file by using SCHL by an information provider, converts it as a file according to a transmission file format in order to transmit the caption data with a digital content at the same time, and transmits the selected file according to a download signal. The terminal(200) downloads the file provided from the server, and reproduces the digital content and the caption data from the downloaded file. The communication network(300) performs a communication between the server and the server. Thereby, the real-time caption system based on a script and a script processing method makes a caption data which can be performed without regard to a kind of an output device by using SCHL(synchronized caption handling language) having a format similar to HTML.

PURPOSE: A server, a device which connects a server, and a controlling method thereof are provided to easily register device information to a server and to share account information about a content provider through storage medium. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit stores user information of a device. If account information about a content provider is requested from a first device(100), a controlling unit recognizes a second device(200). The second device is connected by a user of the first device. The second device includes the account information. The controlling unit supplies second device information to the first device. The controlling unit requests account information to the second device.

PURPOSE: A video display device for providing contents and a method thereof are provided to detect generation of event and change configuration state of contents thereby providing contents about templates of various types by one template. CONSTITUTION: An image display device(100) comprises a storage unit(110), a contents configuration unit(120), an event management unit(130), an agent unit(140), a display unit(150) and a control unit(160). The storage unit stores one pre-defined template. The contents configuration unit has contents by the pre-defined template. The event management unit detects generation of an event. If the event generates, the agent unit changes configuration state of the contents.

A mobile storage device, and a system and a method for installing software automatically are provided to install the software automatically to an external device by storing a setup program for installing the software needed for using the mobile storage device in the external device, and executing the setup program automatically when the mobile storage device is connected to the external device. An interface unit(121) is connected to an external device(110) for data communication. A memory(123) stores a setup program(123-1) for installing software, which is needed for using a mobile storage device(120) in the external device to the external device, and software(123-2). A controller(122) enables the interface to transmit the setup program to the external device when connection between the interface unit and the external device is checked. The setup program enables the external device to download the software through the connected network and install the downloaded software when the software is not stored in the memory of the mobile storage device.

A cache method for storing file data by dividing a cache memory into memory blocks and a cache system thereof are provided to offer the efficient large size cache system in a system permitting random access to multiple files and receiving concurrent access requests, and efficiently index data based on location information of the file to prevent memory update/access of each block from affecting other blocks. A cache storing part(140) stores data read from the file to each memory block. A block allocator(220) allocates the memory blocks of the cache storing part to store the data. A cache manager(130) transmits the first data stored in the searched memory block to an application(150) by searching the memory block storing the first data of the first file requested from the application in the cache storing part. The memory block storing the first data stores the file data by dividing the cache memory into the memory blocks including reference information including the number of applications which request the first data and not complete transmission of the first data.
