Abstract: 본 발명은 세탁포(洗濯布)가 드럼 내벽에 붙어서 떨어지지 않는 속도로 드럼을 회전하는 중에 물을 급수하여 헹굼을 진행하고, 배수 시에도 드럼을 동일한 속도로 회전하여 헹굼 성능을 향상시키는 세탁기 및 그 헹굼 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
이를 위해 본 발명은 포를 수용하는 드럼과, 이 드럼을 회전시키는 모터를 구비한 세탁기의 헹굼 제어방법에 있어서, 상기 포를 상기 드럼 내벽에 붙이는 속도로 상기 모터를 회전시키고; 상기 모터의 회전수를 감지하여 상기 모터 회전수가 기준 회전수에 도달하였는지 판단하고; 상기 모터 회전수가 기준 회전수에 도달하면, 상기 모터 회전수를 기준 회전수로 유지하여 상기 드럼을 일방향 회전시키고; 및 상기 드럼의 회전 중에 물을 급수하여 헹굼을 진행하는 것;을 포함하여 원심력에 의해 물이 빠른 속도로 포를 통과하도록 함으로서 포에 함유된 세제를 빠르게 용해시킬 수 있다.

Abstract: A washing machine and a frost preventing method thereof are provided to prevent frost from being generated in the washing machine while stopping operation of the washing machine. A washing machine comprises a first switch and a control unit(31). The first switch is operated when temperature of the washing machine reaches to freezing temperature. The control unit regulates performance of a frost preventing mode if the first switch is operated. The first switch includes a bimetal(37). In the frost preventing mode, a water supply valve(22) is opened at every cycle to supply water into a water tub, and a drain pump(19c) is driven to drain water in the water tub. A temperature sensor(30) is installed to measure temperature of the washing machine. The opening time of the water supply valve and the driving time of the drain pump during one cycle are differently set according to temperature of the washing machine.
