Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling the power of a CPU(Central Processing Unit) in a multi-core system are provided to efficiently use the performance of a system and reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The current use information and system information of a CPU are obtained(301), and the use amount in the next time is estimated(303). The estimated use amount in the next time is corrected(305), and the power control mode for the corrected use amount in the next time is determined(309). The frequency-power level of the CPU and the core coefficient of an on-state are adjusted(311).
