    Abstract: PURPOSE: An ink for electrochromic device is provided to improve color properties at forming electrochromic material by an inkjet printing method. CONSTITUTION: An ink for electrochromic device comprises electrochromic material, metal salt, and solvent. The metal salt comprises a first electrode, and a second electrode. The metal salt comprises a metal capable of forming complex together with the electrochromic material by heat treating. An electrochromic element comprises: a first electrode(12), and a second electrode(22) facing each other; a sub-electrode(14) on the first electrode or the second electrode; an electrochromic layer(15) spread on the sub-electrode; and an electrolyte(30) between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrochromic layer is made from the ink.
