Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and a method for performing an alarm function thereof are provided to give the alarm as well as various types of information such as news and weather forecast at the same time by setting an alarm mode at a selected channel of digital broadcasting. A key input unit(160) receives digital broadcasting alarm setting information according to selection of a user. A storage unit(130) stores the digital broadcasting alarm setting information. Abstract: A method for offering a recordable time according to a remaining capacity of a memory and a terminal therefor are provided to enable a user to previously know a recording range by notifying the user of a recordable time before the user starts to record data at the terminal and to prevent recording of important scene from being compulsively finished due to shortage of the battery. A method for offering a recordable time according to a remaining capacity of a memory comprises the following several steps. A terminal receives broadcast data(300), and temporarily stores the broadcast data at a buffer(310). The terminal checks whether a record request is inputted by a user(320). If so, the terminal checks whether the terminal is in a state that average reception rate of the broadcast data can be obtained(330). If the terminal is not in the state, the terminal loads average reception rate of the broadcast data, prestored when existing broadcast data is received. from a memory(350). If the terminal is in the state, the terminal calculates the average reception rate of the broadcast data(340), and then the terminal calculates a recordable time in accordance with a remaining capacity of a memory by using the calculated average reception rate of the broadcast data(350). Then, the terminal notifies the user of the calculated recordable time(360).
