Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting a signal on a physical random access channel in a single carrier-frequency division multiplexing access communication system is provided to reduce the size of a buffer of a CP controller by placing the CP controller between an N2-point IFFT device and an up-sampler. CONSTITUTION: An N1-point DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) unit(411) process a discrete Fourier transform operation for an input signal. A first sub carrier allocator(413) maps a processed signal to a frequency domain. An N2-point IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit(415) processes an inverse fast Fourier transform operation for the mapped signal. A CP(Cyclic Prefix) controller(417) inserts a CP into the processed signal. An upsampler(419) performs an up-sampling and interpolation for the CP-inserted signal.
