Provided is a method of transmitting a data packet from a content provider in a content-centric network (CCN) which comprises: verifying whether content request packets which request an identical content are present in a pending interest table (PIT), as the content request packets for requesting contents from a content requester are received, to increase a counter value; comparing the counter value to a predetermined threshold value; and transmitting a data packet using a predefined broadcast media access control (MAC) address in response to the content request packet being received, if the value of the counter is greater than or equal to the threshold value.

The present invention can provide a method for a node to search for content, and the specified node, wherein a node included in a content-centric network generates a content request packet which contains a discovery area to search for the requesting content, and transmits the generated content request packet.

PURPOSE: A shortened name generating method and node robust to a change of a hierarchical name on a content-centered network are provided to reduce the sensitivity of nodes for a change of a content name. CONSTITUTION: A node (1000) on a content-centered network comprises a receiving unit (1010), a determining unit (1020), a generating unit (1030), and a changing unit (1040). The receiving unit receives a content request packet including the hierarchical name of content. The determining unit determines whether the prefix of the hierarchical name is identical with the name of the node. In case the prefix of the hierarchical name is identical with the name of the node, the generating unit removes the prefix from the hierarchical name to generate a shortened name. The changing unit changes the hierarchical name into the shortened name. PURPOSE: A node for transmitting and receiving content centric network (CCN) packets in a CCN and a method thereof are provided to improve transmission speed and efficiency by reducing transmission overhead for a CCN packet header. CONSTITUTION: A node (600) for transmitting a CCN packet in the CCN comprises a generation unit (610), a determining unit (620), and a transmission unit (630). The generation unit generates a second face in which the header of the CCN packet is transmitted. The determination unit determines whether the header of the CCN packet is comprised.
