Abstract: PURPOSE: A map browsing device and method thereof are provided to accurately and easily perform map browsing operation in a mobile device. CONSTITUTION: A POI extracting unit(110) extracts a plurality of POI(Point Of Interest) related to the search word from mapping data. A boundary deciding unit decides the most outer wall boundary about a plurality of POIs. A display unit displays a partial map including a plurality of POIs.
