Abstract: PURPOSE: A base station synchronous method for a portable wireless terminal using a wide-band CDMA type is provided to obtain a stable base station synchronization by performing the base station synchronization using a time difference between a finger position and a demodulator and modulator. CONSTITUTION: If the second period elapses, a DSP(Digital Signal Processor) stores a current finger position as a current period finger position in a register(335). The DSP detects a difference between the current period finger position and an old finger position(337). The DSP stores the current finger position as an old period finger position in the register(339). The DSP multiplies a difference between the current period finger position and the old period finger position by a weight value(341). The DSP adds the difference of the finger position detected when the first period elapses and the difference of the finger position detected when the second period elapses(343). The DSP adds the added difference value of the finger position and a value stored in the register at old periods(345).
