복합 공간 광 변조기 및 이를 포함한 3차원 영상 표시 장치가 개시된다. 개시된 복합 공간 광 변조기는, 광의 위상을 변조하는 공간 광변조기와, 상기 공간 광변조기 다음에 배치된 렌티큘러 렌즈 어레이 및 상기 렌티큘러 렌즈 어레이로부터의 광이 중첩되도록 하여 간섭시키는 볼륨 홀로그램 렌즈 어레이를 포함하여, 광의 위상과 진폭을 함께 변조할 수 있다.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an illumination unit having an optical system with improved aberration and a holographic three-dimensional image display device. The illumination unit includes: a coherent light source; an optical device for projection which focuses light emitted from the coherent light source; and a holographic optical device which is arranged between the coherent light source and the optical device for projection and has a coherent pattern formed to diffract the light emitted from the coherent light source to provide the diffracted light to the optical device for projection. The coherent pattern of the holographic optical device may include reverse aberration information which can offset aberration of the optical device for projection.
Abstract:
A complex spatial light modulator and a holographic 3D image display device having the same are disclosed. The disclosed complex spatial light modulator can simultaneously modulate the phase and amplitude of light by including: a spatial light modulator which modulates the phase or the amplitude of light; and a light combiner which modulates the amplitude of light by a pair of lens arrays and a grating arranged in between the pair of lens arrays.

PURPOSE: A variable liquid prism array and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to use an electrode wiring layer as a mask, thereby forming an electrode without a separate mask and preventing misalignment. CONSTITUTION: A variable liquid prism array comprises a substrate (10), a wiring layer a conductive line portion formed on the substrate and a non-conductive line area in which the conductive line portion is not arranged; partitions (25) provided on the wiring layer; cells (28) divided by the partitions; a first fluid included within the cells; a second fluid provided on the first fluid; a plurality of side electrodes (31~34) which are provided in the side of the partitions and are spaced apart from each other along an area corresponding to the non-conductive line area of the wiring layer; and an upper electrode which are arranged to be spaced apart from the side electrodes in the upper part of the partitions.

PURPOSE: A variable micro lens, a micro lens array including the same, and a three-dimensional display are provided to make a perfect image on the area of an image pickup device corresponding to each micro lens. CONSTITUTION: A micro lens (L1) includes a first to a fourth electrode (62, 64, 66, 68). The first and a third electrode are separated from each other. A second electrode and the fourth electrode are vertically located from the first and the third electrode. The second and the fourth electrode are separated from each other. The first and the third electrode are located between the second electrode and the fourth electrode. The second electrode includes a curved first part (64A). The fourth electrode includes a curved second part (68A). The first and the second part are curved inside a unit cell. The first part of the second electrode is overlapped with each end of the first and the third electrode. The second part of the fourth electrode is overlapped with other end of the first and the third electrode.
