Abstract: A driving apparatus of a compressor and a control method thereof are provided to reduce electromagnetic noise generated in driving the compressor by varying the carrier frequency according to the duty ratio of the PWM signal. A driving apparatus of a compressor(140) comprises a motor(143). The rpm of the motor is detected, and a operation duty ratio to make the motor rpm reach the target rpm is calculated. One of carrier frequencies is selected based on the operation duty ratio of the motor, and the motor is operated using the selected carrier frequency.

Abstract: An inverter driving apparatus, a control method thereof, and a refrigerator are provided to minimize an inrush current generated in a bootstrap capacitor by turning on a lower switching device with a pulse width modulation method. A power supply unit(10) supplies the external power to a switching unit(20). The switching unit includes an upper switching device(21) and a lower switching device(23). An upper switching driving unit is charged with the power from the power supply unit. The upper switching driving unit drives the upper switching device. The upper switching driving unit includes a bootstrap circuit with a capacitor. The lower switching driving unit operates the lower switching device. A controller(50) applies the driving signal to the upper switching driving unit. When the upper switching driving unit is charged with the power from the power supply unit, the controller controls the lower switching driving unit to turn on or off the lower switching device with the PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) method.

Abstract: A system and a method for controlling a motor are provided to prevent the noise, the vibration, and the damage of the components by suppressing an overcurrent when stopping the motor. A motor driver(20) controls on/off of a motor(12). The motor driver includes an IPW(Intelligent Power Module). A power supply unit(14) applies the power to the motor driver.
