Abstract: An apparatus and a method for editing a template for generating a moving image are provided to enable a general user to manufacture the template easily for generating the time-seekable moving image, and set various attributes of components configuring of the moving image so as to be suitable for user taste. A user interface(110) receives an edit command from a user. A template controller(150) grasps scenes configuring a moving image by parsing a script(30) according to the edit command, and generates a time tap showing a point of time to display the moving image. A scene controller(160) grasps and loads objects(40), included in the grasped scenes, and an execution module(50) for defining moving effects of the objects. An object controller(170) generates a control code for controlling the objects based on the time tap. A template storage(140) stores a template comprising the script, the execution module, the objects and the control code.
