Abstract: PURPOSE: A method of remotely controlling a mobile communication terminal is provided to remotely control the mobile communication terminal, so that a user can convert an operation mode according to a predetermined data packet by using an existing communication system even though the mobile communication terminal is in an unknown area. CONSTITUTION: A controller periodically decides whether a data packet is received(302). If so, the controller decides whether the received data packet is for setting an operation mode of a mobile communication terminal(304). If not, the controller performs a corresponding function(306). If the received data packet is for setting the operation mode, the controller sets the mobile communication terminal to the corresponding operation mode(308). The controller transmits an ACK signal for informing that the data packet is received to a base station(310).
