Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for configuring and displaying a user interface in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to use avatars applying each layer thereto for the user interface, thereby easily changing the user interface as promoting self characteristics and easily changing to a desirous shape. CONSTITUTION: A memory(117) has more than two layers, and has data transparently processed in regions except display data regions. Each layer has the data display regions. A controller(111) reads data of each layer from the memory(117), which is not the same, combines the read data to configure one-shaped data, and displays the combined shape data on a display(119). The memory(117) further comprises a region where each of the shape data is stored, and further comprises a region where data for matching with the shape data are stored.
