A space-time coding apparatus in a relay wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to determine space-time codes used for a transmission stage and relay station according to channel information and make the relay station strengthen and space-time encode a signal. A determining part(302) determines the first space-time code used for a transmission stage and the second space-time code used for a relay station by using the channel information between the relay station and the opposite side reception node. An encoding part(310) space-time codes the second space-time code information and data signal according to the first space-time code. A transmitting part(312-1~312-N) transmits the space-time coded signals to the relay station through a plurality of transmission antennas. An encoding and modulating part(308) codes/modulates a transmission bit string according to an MCS(Modulation and Cording Scheme) level.

An apparatus and a method for interference cancellation in a multi-antenna system are provided to prevent the interference between users or antennas using precoding and dirty paper coding. A strip code controller(300) generates a strip code matrix to maximize the diversity gain. According to the transmission power about each RX-antenna which the strip code controller is determined on the power control unit(320), each element of the strip code matrices can be renewed. According to the signal to Interference about each RX-antenna which the user sorting unit(310) is provided from the strip code controller and noise ratio or the total sum capacity, RX-antennas providing service are arranged. The power control unit uses the signal to Interference of the RX-antennas which it is provided from the strip code controller and noise ratio or the total sum capacity.

An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving a signal in a MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) mobile communication system are provided to control a MIMO scheme adaptively in consideration of initial transmission and retransmission when the MIMO mobile communication system uses an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) scheme. A controller(123) determines an HARQ scheme to be used for a transmission signal, and determines a MIMO scheme to be used for the transmission signal correspondingly to the determined HARQ scheme. An encoder encodes the transmission signal according to the determined HARQ scheme. A mapper(115) maps a signal output from the encoder according to the determined MIMO scheme. A transmitter(119) transmits a signal output from the mapper. If the determined HARQ scheme is an IR(Incremental Redundancy) scheme, the controller determines the MIMO scheme to be an SM(Spatial Multiplexing) scheme. If the determined HARQ scheme is a CC(Chase Combining) scheme, the controller determines the MIMO scheme to be an STTD(Space Time Transmit Diversity) scheme.

개시된 화상형성장치는, 적어도 시안, 마젠타, 옐로우 색을 표현하는 3층의 잉크층이 구비된 미디어의 양면에 순차적으로 열을 가하여 칼라화상을 인쇄하는 감열방식 화상형성장치이다. 화상형성장치는, 인쇄경로에 위치되며, 미디어에 열을 가하는 TPH와 이와 대면되어 미디어를 지지하는 플라텐 롤러를 구비하는 화상형성유닛과, 인쇄경로의 출측으로부터 시작되어 다시 인쇄경로의 출측으로 연결되는 순환경로를 포함하여, 미디어가 인쇄경로를 제1방향으로 통과되는 동안에 그 일면에 열을 가하여 적어도 한 색상을 인쇄하고, 순환경로를 통과한 후에 다시 인쇄경로를 상기 제1방향과 반대방향인 제2방향으로 통과되는 동안에 반대면에 열을 가하여 나머지 색상를 인쇄함으로써 칼라화상이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 한다.

본 발명은 복합기의 조작 패널상의 LCD 타입을 판별하고 국가 코드를 인식함으로써 생산시에 자동으로 폰트 데이터를 다운로딩하는 폰트 데이터 다운로딩 장치를 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 폰트 데이터 다운로딩 장치는, 복합기의 조작 패널에 부착되어, LCD상에 디스플레이될 수 있는 폰트에 따라 결정되는 LCD 타입을 판별하는 LCD 타입 판별부; 상기 복합기에 부착되어 있는 소정의 국가 코드를 판독하는 국가 코드 판독부; 상기 판별된 LCD 타입 및 상기 소정의 국가 코드에 기초하여 다운로딩할 폰트 데이터를 결정하는 제어부; 상기 제어부의 결정을 네트워크를 통해 서버로 전송하고 상기 서버로부터 상기 폰트 데이터를 다운로딩하는 I/O 인터페이스; 및 상기 다운로딩된 폰트 데이터를 저장하는 메모리를 포함함을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 복합기의 생산기 LCD 타입 및 각 국가의 언어에 맞는 폰트 데이터를 자동으로 다운로딩함으로써, 사용자가 조작 패널을 조작하여 원하는 폰트 데이터를 다운로딩해야 하는 번거러움을 제거하여 사용상의 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A device for outputting a home device manual of a home network and a method therefor are provided to store manuals of a home device, and to retrieve a manual of a desired function to output the retrieved manual, so that a user can simply retrieve and output the manuals. CONSTITUTION: A memory(210) stores manuals of a home device connected to a home network. An input unit(220) directs an output operation of the stored manuals. An interface unit(240) communicates with the home network. When the output operation is directed, a controller(230) outputs the manuals stored in the memory(210) to one of a printing device and a display device connected to the home network through the interface unit(240).

PURPOSE: A method for detecting and controlling an ink level in an ink jet printer is provided to utilize residual ink by checking an amount of ink remaining in an ink cartridge when the ink level in the ink cartridge drops below a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting and controlling an ink level in an ink jet printer includes the steps of detecting the ink level in an ink cartridge(S10) and checking whether the ink level in the ink cartridge is below a predetermined level(S20). If the ink level in the ink cartridge is below the predetermined level, a line print is carried out(S30) and a printing density is detected(S40). Then, the detected printing density is compared with a reference printing density(S60). If the detected printing density is lower than the reference printing density, a minute ink level is calculated(S70). Then, it is determined whether the calculated minute ink level requires a printing density compensation algorithm(S80).

PURPOSE: An ink cartridge and a printer having the same are provided to detect a level of ink at low costs while reducing a detection error caused by ink sticking to an inner wall of the ink cartridge when detecting the level of ink. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge(210) includes a container(212), first and second conductive members(214,216), a plurality of rod-type resistance bars(218_1-218_n), a plurality of floating members(220_1-220_n), and a connection terminal section(222). The ink cartridge(210) is detachably coupled to a printer(200) so as to feed ink to the printer(200). The first conductive member(214) has a main conductive line and a plurality of contact terminals. PURPOSE: A paper sensor of an image forming apparatus is provided to simplify the configuration of the paper sensor and improve response characteristic of the paper sensor. CONSTITUTION: A paper sensor of an image forming apparatus includes a power supply, a paper feeding roller(10), a wire(21), connector(22), and a resistor(R). The outer surface is made of a conductive material. One end of a wire(21) intermittently comes into contact with the outer surface of the paper feeding roller and the other end is electrically connected to the power supply. The connector is fixed to a printed circuit board(30) placed above the paper feeding roller and connected to the other end of the wire. The resistor is interposed between the connector and the power supply. It is detected whether print paper is transferred or not according as voltage detected between the resistor and the connector is high or low according to attachment or separation of one end of the wire and the outer surface of the paper feeding roller with each other.

PURPOSE: A noise reduction apparatus for hermetic rotary compressor is provided to reduce noise caused due to gas pulsation during suction and re-expansion of the compressed gas. CONSTITUTION: A noise reduction apparatus comprises a porous resonator(20) mounted to an inlet pipe(12) of a cylinder(7) arranged between an upper flange(5) and a lower flange(6) which support the eccentric shaft forcibly fixed to a rotor, so as to form a compression space(9). The porous resonator is arranged to absorb noise of a wide frequency band caused due to the pulsation of gas flowing through the inlet pipe. The porous resonator includes a space(21) having a predetermined volume, and two or more passageways(22) connecting the space and the inlet pipe of the cylinder. The space is formed onto or beneath the cylinder, or at the upper or lower flange.
