Abstract: PURPOSE: An attenuated Streptococcus pneumococcus containing mutant pep27 is provided to ensure excellent vaccine effect and to minimize inconvenience. CONSTITUTION: An attenuated Streptococcus pneumococcus contains mutant pep27 gene. The pep27 gene encodes an amino acid of pep27 peptides of sequence number 1. A method for preparing the attenuated Streptococcus pneumococcus comprises a step of deleting the pep27 gene in chromosome DNA. A vaccine composition for preventing or treating Streptococcus pneumococcus infectious diseases contains the Streptococcus pneumococcus strain. The vaccine composition immunizes by a serotype-independent method.
