Abstract:
PURPOSE: An anti-herpesviral pharmaceutical composition containing oxonaphthalene-based compounds is provided to effectively prevent or treat diseases or disorders caused by herpesvirus without drug toxicity or drug resistance. CONSTITUTION: An anti-herpesviral pharmaceutical composition contains oxonaphthalene-based compounds of chemical formula 3 or 4 which suppresses herpesvirus exonuclease activity or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an active ingredient. The composition has an antiviral activity against gamma-herpesvirus such as Epstein-Barr Virus(EBV) or Kaposi's sarcoma associated virus(KSHV). The concentration of the compound is 1-100 uM.

Abstract:
A reporter system for searching a natural compound reactivating gamma herpesvirus in cell line infected with gamma-herpesvirus is provided to help activation of anti-herpes agent and search natural compound without toxicity. A reporter cell line for searching an inducing material of reactivating gamma herpes virus comprises: a PAN RNA (polyadenylated nuclear RNA) promoter (sequence number 1[SEQ ID NO:1]) of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV); and a reporter gene which is connected to be expressed by a promoter. The reporter gene is destabilized enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). The gamma herpes virus is a cell line which is infected with KSHV or Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
