Abstract:
An automatic device control circuit for a ring type voltage-controlled oscillator according to embodiments of the present invention is an open loop automatic device control circuit for the ring type voltage-controlled oscillator which a plurality of delay cells are connected in a ring shape to output an oscillation output in accordance with a control voltage. The automatic device control circuit includes: a bias control unit for selecting the intensity of bias current which flows through a delay cell; a load control unit for selecting the intensity of variable load capacitance to configure at least a part of equivalent load capacitance which appears in the delay cell; and a gain control unit for selecting the intensity of control voltage to additional driving current gain to generate an additional driving current, which is also capable of charging the equivalent load capacitance of the delay cell as well as the bias current, in accordance with the control voltage.
