Abstract: A method for managing digital rights is provided to improve security by generating a content encoded-key through a combination of keys included in license and contents. An authentication key and a content key are generated. The authentication key is used in order to authenticate a content provider(110). The content key is included in a content header based on a content provider ID. A license key included in a license based on the content ID is generated. A content encoded-key is generated by assembling the license key and the content key. The contents are encoded by using the generated content encoded-key. The contents are packaged by adding the content header to the encoded content.
