    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are methods for producing a sulfur electrode of ultrahigh capacity, shelf stable lithium sulfur battery and electrolyte, having increased mechanical strength by comprising a ceramic powder and a metal powder. CONSTITUTION: The anode of ultrahigh capacity, shelf stable sulfur battery is produced by the steps of (i) providing an electrode material consisting of 10-60 wt% of sulfur, 10-30 wt% of carbon, 10-55 wt% of PEO(polyethylene oxide), 3-10 wt% of Li-salt; and (ii) mixing the electrode material using high energy ball mill. The electrolyte of ultrahigh capacity, shelf stable sulfur battery is produced by the steps of (i) providing any one of polymer selected from polyvinylidene fluoride(PVdF), PAN(polyacrylonitride) and PMMA(polymethyl-methacrylate); (ii) providing any one of plasticizer selected from EC(ethylene carbonate), PC(propylene carbonate), TG(tetra(ethylene glycol)dimethyl ether), NMP(1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) and DEC(diethyl carbonate); (iii) providing a lithium salt for increasing ion conductivity; and (iv) adding a metal oxide to the mixture in order to impart mechanical strength to the mixture.
