Abstract: A device and a method for arbitrating a bus are provided to assign a bus grant signal to all masters and simultaneously transfer the predetermined number of operation command signals having a predetermined approximation among the operation command signals received from the masters into a slave in response to the bus grant signal when the masters want to use the bus at the same time. A bus access permitter(212) outputs a plurality of bus grant signals for permitting bus access to a plurality of masters requesting the bus access at the same time. A simultaneous process grant signal selector(218) is received from the masters in response to the bus grant signal and selects the predetermined number of operation command signals having the predetermined approximation among the operation command signals for commanding the operation of the slave. An operation commander(220) transfers the selected operation command signal to the slave through the bus at the same time. The predetermined number is selected by dividing a data width of the bus into a basic unit of the data width to be inputted/output from the salve.
