Abstract: PURPOSE: A novel Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, a composition containing the same, and a method for preventing plant diseases are provided to biologically prevent various plant diseases. CONSTITUTION: A Bacillus amyloliquefaciens LM11(KACC91643P) prevents plant pathogens. The plant pathogens are Magnaporthe oryzae, Thanatephorus cucumeris, Botrytis cinerea, Phytophthora infestans, Puccinia recondite, Blumeria graminis f. sp. Hordei, or Colletotrichum coccodes. A composition for preventing plant diseases contains the strain or a culture thereof. The plant diseases are blast, sheath blight, gray mold, leaf rust, powdery mildew, or anthracnose. A method for preventing plant diseases comprises a step of treating the composition to crops or an environment for cultivating the crops. The dose of the strain is 1×10^5 cfu/ml to 1×10^12 cfu/ml.
