Abstract: PURPOSE: A real time watching apparatus using a dual camera is provided to monitor large area in real time and transmit the photographed image. CONSTITUTION: A first camera(111) has a first viewing angle, and a second camera(115) has a narrower viewing angle. The second camera is capable of controlling a zoom-in, a pan, and a tilt adjustment. A surveillance process unit(120) determines the existence of a moving object from the first camera image. The surveillance process unit extracts the location information of the moving object through the main image information from the first camera. The surveillance process unit controls the operation of the second camera in order to trace and photograph the moving object.
