    Abstract: PURPOSE: A solar energy accumulating apparatus is provided to prevent the frost break by circulating the thermal medium of a thermal medium circulating pipe according to the outdoor temperature. CONSTITUTION: A solar energy accumulating apparatus is composed of a heat accumulator tank(110), a solar energy collector(120), a first pump(128), an outdoor temperature sensor(191), and a control unit(170). The heat accumulator tank has an air-tight water storing space inside. The solar energy accumulating apparatus circulates a heat medium flow heated by solar energy through a heat medium circulating pipe(124). A heat medium circulating pipe is able to exchange heat with the hot-water of the heat accumulator tank via the inside of the heat accumulator tank. If the temperature detected in the outdoor temperature sensor is less than the pre-set temperature, the frost break of the thermal medium circulating pipe is prevented by operating the control unit.
