    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red colored composition for a color filter capable of forming red filter segments high in lightness and contrast, a color filter including red filter segments high in lightness and contrast, and a liquid crystal display device equipped with the color filter. SOLUTION: The red colored composition for a color filter contains a pigment carrier comprising a transparent resin, its precursor or a mixture of them and a pigment, wherein the pigment contains at least a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based red pigment (preferably PR254), an anthraquinone-based red pigment (preferably PR177) and an azo-based yellow pigment (preferably PY150), and each pigment has an average primary particle diameter of 10-50 nm. There are also provided the color filter including red filter segments formed using the red colored composition for a color filter and the liquid crystal display device equipped with the color filter.     Abstract: PURPOSE: A coloring composition, a method for preparing a color filter by using the composition and a method for preparing a black matrix substrate by using the composition are provided, to prevent the drying and solidification at the front part of a coating solution eject hole, thereby reducing the generation of a longitudinal linear spot and forming a uniform coating. CONSTITUTION: The coloring composition comprises a colorant carrier comprising a transparent resin, its precursor or their mixture; a colorant; and an organic liquid medium, wherein the organic liquid medium comprises (a) an organic solvent having a boiling point more than 100 deg.C and less than 160 deg.C at 760 mmHg and (b) an organic solvent having a boiling point more than 160 deg.C and less than 215 deg.C at 760 mmHg, and the content of the organic solvent (b) is 3-35 wt% based on the total amount of the composition. Preferably the content of the colorant is 1.5-45 wt%; and the content of the colorant carrier is 10-90 wt% based on the total amount of the solid part of the composition.
