Abstract: The present invention relates to a high transmission green dye for an LCD, a dye dispersion, a coloring composition, a color filter including the coloring composition, and a method for manufacturing the dye. Regarding the dye, represented in the below chemical formula (I), M stands for Cu or Zn, and R1 and R2 are respectively and independently chosen among the groups of a substituted or non-substituted alkyl ether, and a substituted or non-substituted aryl ether. However, an exclusion occurs when both R1, and R2 are halogens.
