Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a lithium sulfur secondary battery having improved lifetime at ordinary temperature, which contains poly(ethyleneglycol)dimethyl ether(PEGDME) as an electrolyte and a mesh- or foam-type metal as a current collector of a sulfur cathode. CONSTITUTION: The lithium sulfur secondary battery contains the PEGDME as the electrolyte and the mesh- or foam-type metal as the current collector of the sulfur cathode. The PEGDME has an average molecular weight of 500-750 and contains 0.1-1M of trifluoro methane sulfonate imide. And the metal used as the current collector of the cathode is nickel or aluminum.
