    Abstract: PURPOSE: A low complexity precoding device based on vector perturbation in a multi user multi antenna communication system is provided to obtain low complexity and similar performance. CONSTITUTION: A reference value of a cumulative branch metric of a candidate symbol is determined(S1). A candidate having a cumulative branch metric value is removed. The cumulative branch metric value exceeds the reference value of a cumulative branch metric value of a determined candidate symbol. The cumulative branch metric value of the candidate symbol is registered as entry(S2). The cumulative branch metric value of the candidate symbol does not exceed the reference value of a cumulative branch metric value of the candidate symbol. A cumulative branch metric value of the smallest candidate symbol among cumulative branch metric values registered as entry is selected(S3).

    Abstract: A method for transmitting data including an impulse symbol with the optimum size and a method for estimating a channel by the impulse symbol in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system are provided to improve a bit error rate while satisfying a proper PARP(Peak to Average Power Ratio). In an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system, an impulse symbol with the optimum size for estimating a channel is inserted into the rear of the data symbol and the data is transmitted. A complex random variable obtained by modulating an OFDM data bit stream is converted into a signal in a time domain by the IDFT(Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform)(312). The specific number of null symbols and the impulse symbol for estimating the channel are inserted into a guard interval of the rear of the data symbol in the converted signal(313). The OFDM data symbols into which the impulse symbol is inserted are transmitted. The size of the impulse symbol is determined by a power boosting factor that is the numerical value for showing the multiple of the average power of the OFDM data symbol.
